Patricia was born in 1966 in Forbach, Lorraine, to a miner father, and a stay-at-home mother who raised seven children.
1988: a trend was born. "Mon mec à moi" and "Mademoiselle chante le blues" became major hits of the 90’s.
1999, Patricia Kaas dominated the music scene, winning 6 "Victoires de la Musique", and enchanting millions of fans worldwide.

2002, Patricia Kaas landed her first major film role, acting under the direction of Claude Lelouch "And now… Ladies & Gentlemen", beside Jeremy Irons.
2008, after selling over 16 million albums in more than 47 countries, Patricia created Kabaret, an authentic show that is her personal and passionate tribute to the 1930s. It was more than just a performance tour; it was a treasure trove of beloved songs, a collection of this great artist’s most famous titles. With more than 20 songs, Kabaret was the most successful and elegant variety show Kaas ever performed.
An extraordinary journey through 1930’s cabaret, the show was performed 145 times in 35 countries
over two years. The Kabaret album sold over 800 000 copies worldwide.
Patricia Kaas is considered as the most popular female artist in Russia and CIS countries.
In China, Patricia gave concerts in Bejing, Shanghai... The People’s Daily calls her "the French Madonna" and her name in Chinese means "filaments of joyful music". In Vietnam, Laos, and especially in Korea, the Forbach’s "demoiselle" is also a great star.

2011, Kaas’ autobiography «L’Ombre de ma Voix» (The Shadow of My Voice) was published in March by
Flammarion. This bestseller is sold throughout Europe, and has already been translated into more than 6 languages.
2012, in the beginning of the year, at Midem, Patricia announce her Kaas Chante Piaf project, which will include both a show and an album. This project is a tribute to Edith Piaf by today’s best French Singer.
2012, Patricia Kaas played the magnificent role of a woman wounded by life for the television production Assassinée (Murdered), by Thierry Binisti which does a very high rating score.
After a fabulous career of more than 25 years, and international success, Patricia Kaas is still the dignified heiress of "La Môme" to audiences across the World.
In 2013, "Kaas chante Piaf" will tour 45 countries to celebrate worldwide the 50th anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf.
