No words can described the underlying grind that women in the Entertainment Industry truly give for their fans to hear their blunt elusive lyrics, to give the game such unique and diverse style, and to expand the creativity that comes about from such females. Coming from such talent, Rasheeda of D-Lo Entertainment continues to glorify that the lifestyle of being Fly and Ghetto Fabulous is always her stamp of remaining relevant in the Hip Hop World.
She continues to represent women who have demonstrated growth in life while expanding opportunity for up and coming female emcees. An example of such growth is being able to choose her breeding ground, D-Lo Ent., as the only label home she represents that holds a solid reputation as an independent label in the game. It should be no doubt of this statement after being able to release her fifth album on August 18, 2009 entitled “CERTIFIED HOT CHICK” everywhere with D-Lo Entertainment still stamped on her career after ten years and still counting in the game.
Rasheeda values and encourages independency to the Music Industry once an artist has grown and learned the business of the game, and not just the glamour and lifestyle that comes with it. Taking her fans on a little journey of how Rasheeda continues to progress and critique her talent keeps them wanting to hear and see more of her work beyond just the music being released.
In 2006, Georgia Peach was released as her third album. This project was her second successfully independent album that revealed more of her sexiness while proclaiming Rasheeda as a talented rap artist in the game. Her fourth endeavor entitled “Dat Type of Girl” was released in June 2007, which had many guest appearances that included a roster of various platinum artist from Baby of Cash Money Records, Akon of Konvict Music, Princess of Crime Mob, Fabo, and Kandi (formerly of Xscape). Rasheeda’s continuous growth as an artist, woman, and a root of strength and independency was expressed on this album that dominated the underground Hip Hop scene with hits from “Type of Gurl,” “Touch Ya Toes,” and the notable club banger “My Bubble Gum.”
Her lyrically acclaimed track “My Bubble Gum” was also featured as the main ring tone used in the Number One Box Office hit movie Paul Bart’s Mall Cop. This single placed her career on a national persona like no other underground female emcee.
Rasheeda remains adamant on filling the void of strong vital female voices that Hip Hop seems to be lacking. With her lead single that represents such entitled “BOSS CHICK” coming off of her fifth album that was revealed online and in stores everywhere on August 18, 2009.
With this project, Rasheeda comes with more fierce hits for the females and men on anthems such as “Show Ya To The Door,” “Where Ya Been,” “Don’t Let Him Get Away,” and the sexy bluntly spoken track entitled “Juicy Like A Peach” featuring Chicago’s own Shawnna.
Rasheeda adds, “CERTIFIED HOT CHICK” is like the manual for women in all realms or roles. I am speaking on things that so many of us have experienced or will experience in our lives. In addition, I am really happy with this project being my fifth album. It is a representation of growth and another addition of a huge movement for females because it displays Power, Confidence, Class, Control, and Extreme Sex Appeal with so much diversity still in a Ghetto, Fabulous and Classy Manner.
In 2010, Rasheeda continued to make her mark by dropping the highly anticipated mix tapes “BOSS BITCH MUSIC” in March 2010, which has received rave reviews and is labeled as one of the hottest mix tape releases in 2010. Rasheeda remixed some of the streets hottest anthems making her own versions to “SAY SOMETHING” F/Nivea, “O Lets Do IT”, I Wanna Rock” and “Bedrock” F/ Toya Carter, Kandi, Diamond & Lola Monroe and made them her own releasing music videos to all 4 songs and receiving millions of views all over the internet. The buzz from this mix tape along with her continuous grind landed her a 2010 BET Best female Hip Hop Artist Nomination as well. In September 2010 Rasheeda released BOSS BITCH MUSIC Vol.2 and continued to raised the bar expanding her fan base and solidifying herself as the head of the BOSS BITCH MOVEMENT.
In 2011 Rasheeda released her 3rd installment BOSS BITCH MUSIC Vol. 3 and is going stronger than ever staying consistent and speaking for the women of the world. Now, Rasheeda is gearing up for the release of her 4th installment of her Boss Bitch mixtape series titled “BBM vol.4 this highly anticipated mixtape is set to hit the streets January 30th, 2012. Rasheeda also launched her new apparel & accessory website www.ImBossy.com staying true to her “Boss Chick” brand. The sexy Georgia Peach is not only ready to take over the Hip Hop World as a dominating fierce female entertainer; she is ready to take OVER THE WORLD with the same magnitude.
